happy inside On the inside theres a girl with a wonderful smile shes very happy and very pretty too but sometimes she wish that the girl on the outside felt the same way that she do. The girl on the outside wears a frown nobody will ever see her beautful smile she never laughs but instead she weeps she'll never under stand how her beauty was unique it was like people never cared how much she cryed and never thought to understand why.
lol i write sometimes funny but mostly depression and DEEP poems *my gothic side* and so if u write poems or have a fav please post it

This is one of the best poems I've ever heard. I didn't write it, but I would have if I had thought of it. Friend of mine wrote it and I think he won a poetry contest with it.
sunshine face by sam townsend
"Mommy, will I be a princess?" she asked after a Disney show. Wearily the older would confess, "Honey, I think so."
And she would dance then, prance when she heard. Giggling again and again, for nothing was absurd.
Her plastic crown was enough. Sequin jewels still glinted. With no need to bluff, it was more than hinted,
that Mary had a sunshine face. Her midnight eyes were the starry kind. Her smile was quick, with 7 years behind. And, oh, how those eyes shine.
From 7 to 7th grade, no heaven involved. A junior high parade, in which whispers revolved.
Her complexion judged. Cover it up each day. Eye liner, smudged, as she wipes tears away.
She still has her crown, on some high shelf. Rarely pulls it down to show her true self.
But behind the makeup Mary has a sunshine face. Her midnight eyes are the starry kind. Her smile is guarded, with 12 years behind. And, oh, how those tears shine.
In high school she's ever present, but never to be seen. She's just a peasant Creeping past the queens.
Her heart - hollow tin, a vacated tryst. Her smile worn as thin as bitter lines on her wrist.
Her crown - real as plastic, Jewels lost synthetic shine. The world all too quick to render dreams benign.
For Mary had lost her sunshine face Her midnight eyes were the cloudy kind. Her smile was forced, with 16 years behind. But, oh, how she once did shine.
Finally finding happiness five minutes at a time. The burden might be less if she hid her crime.
Attempting to be free, a responsibility defiled, she emptied herself of more than a child.
Her crown, now long forgotten. She couldn't remember the place where she had once carried a smile upon her face.
No, Mary can't remember her sunshine face or her midnight eyes, when they were the starry kind, or her quick smile, long gone with 20 years behind, or even when her eyes did last shine.
At 27 Mary works late. Hope is shallow, debt is deep. Comes home to her second mistake, the one she decided to keep.
Her daughter laughs and races and must not see the dreadful place the world can be.
She talks about being a princess. Mary is too tired to disagree, so she twirls in unseen dress, and hops, and giggles, and is free
You see, Little Heather has a sunshine face . Her midnight eyes are the starry kind. Her smile is quick with 7 years behind. And, oh, how those eyes shine.

Like I said, I didn't write it, but I would have if I'd have thought of it.
Here's one of mine. Not as long.
A white sea surrounds me end to end Which can’t be pierced by light moon sends But one small star, its light can send In the sea of white, it’s the only island It stays in the same place, a steady sure friend Guiding me to safe haven and journeys end And when I come to the white seas end And the moon can show her face again My guide is joined by all his friends Even so, its bright light does not bend It watches me through to my journeys end
