Dream of Chaos
By The Guardian
Chapter 1
“Star! Yo, Star! Wake Up!”
Starfire slowly opened her eyes, and yawned. She wondered what was the smell outside her door. She sat up, and rubbed her eyes.
“Star!” it sounded like Beast boy.
“One moment please!” Star responded.
Starfire stood up now. She hadn’t been feeling well for the past 2 weeks. Her nightmare was the problem. She couldn’t figure out what they were. But they were scary enough.
“Star, are you coming out!”
“Yes, I am sorry to keep you waiting, but I have had the Sleepys in my eyes.”
She walked to the door and opened it. Beast Boy stood there in a pink apron, with a chef’s hat on. He held a frying pan that had tofu eggs all prepared.
“FINALLY! Your breakfast was getting cold. Do you not care that I made breakfast!?!?” He said hysterically.
“Oh yes, I am sorry. I have been sleeping, and did not hear your call for the daily meal before lunch.” Starfire said with a smile.
“Humph. Well, I’ll heat your food, and get it back ready, but hurry up!” Beast Boy walked off in an impatient manner.
Starfire watched him as he walked off.
“NO! MAN! Not again!”
Cyborg stood up, knocking over the chair. This was the eighth time Raven beat him in chess. Raven levitated on her side of the small table. She was reading her book, completely bored with the game.
“Maybe, you should change your strategy.” She said, without even a sense of compassion in her voice.
“Why do you always win in this?”
“Why do you want to keep playing, if you can’t win?”
Cyborg was taken back by her reply. He didn’t think she would respond that fast, or even say that.
“Is every game of chess too easy for you?” Cyborg said in a very questioning manner.
Raven didn’t look up from her book.
“Fine. Ignore me then.”
Cyborg went and sat on the couch. In the meantime, Starfire had just walked in.
“Good Morning Friends!” She said very happily; trying to get out of her bad mood.
“Mornin’ Star.” Cyborg said.
Raven said nothing. Beast Boy waved to Starfire from the counter.
“Your food is now ready! Bon Appetite!” He said.
“Um…thank you for preparing the breakfast meal, but I am not really hungry.” Starfire admitted. Although she wouldn’t say why.
“WHAT YOU MEAN I MADE YOUR FOOD AND STUFF FOR NOTHING???” Beast Boy screamed.
“Um...I am …sorry..?” She said.
Robin came rushing in through the door.
“Titans, Trouble!” He said.
“First butt kicking of the day. All right,” Cyborg said happily, “at least I can give a butt kicking to someone at something.”
The Titans all rushed out, except for Starfire. She had an uneasy feeling. She didn’t know if she should go, or stay.
“Starfire, are you coming?” Robin asked coming back.
“Yes, I will join you shortly.”
Robin nodded, and ran back out. Starfire sat there for a few moments, and then went to join the others.
